Social Media Policy

Introduction

At Angelic Photo, we value our clients’ privacy and the trust they place in us. This Social Media Policy outlines how we use images and other content on our social media platforms, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations and protecting your personal data. Our aim is to showcase our work while maintaining transparency and respecting your privacy.

1. Content Sharing on Social Media

We may share images, videos, and content from your event on our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) for the following purposes:

  • To promote our photography services
  • To showcase our portfolio and the quality of our work
  • To share updates and behind-the-scenes content with our community and potential clients.

However, we will only use your images with your explicit consent, obtained during the booking process or after the event. If you choose to withhold consent, we will fully respect your decision and will not share your content.

2. Consent for Social Media Use

Before sharing any images from your wedding or event on social media, we will seek your written consent. This ensures that you have control over the use of your images. You can:

  • Provide full consent for us to share all images
  • Provide partial consent (e.g., specific images, or only group shots)
  • Decline any use of your images on social media.

If you change your mind after providing consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Simply contact us at contact@angelicphoto.co.uk, and we will promptly remove the content from our platforms.

3. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

In compliance with GDPR, we ensure that any personal data used on social media is handled with care and within the bounds of the law. Personal data includes images, videos, and any identifiable information. Our legal basis for processing this data is consent, and we do not share your content without it.

4. Tagging and Identifying Individuals

When posting on social media, we may tag your event location or other vendors involved to promote their services. However, we will not tag or identify individuals in any social media posts unless you provide specific permission. We understand that privacy is important and will ensure that no personal information or details about your event are disclosed unless authorised by you.

5. Respectful Representation

We aim to represent every client and event respectfully and authentically. All images and videos shared will be used to reflect the joy and beauty of your special day, and we will not alter or use images in a way that could misrepresent you or your event.

6. Third-Party Platforms

While we make every effort to control the use of content shared on our social media channels, please note that once images are posted on third-party platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook), we cannot control how these platforms handle the content. However, we ensure that our use of images complies with their respective terms and conditions.

7. Social Media Take-Down Requests

If, after publication, you decide that you no longer want your images displayed on our social media accounts, you can request their removal by emailing us at contact@angelicphoto.co.uk. We will honour your request as soon as possible and ensure the prompt removal of the images from our platforms.
