Extra bits and bobs to complement and enhance your big day

Below you’ll find a whole host of other things to think about that you might like to enhance your wedding – from the more traditional ‘photographer upgrades’ of albums and parent books, through to the slightly more unusual offerings that we’ve managed to gather over the years for our couples.

Most of these have been created with huge thanks to our previous brides and grooms who have not only given us some of the ideas (“we’d really like to try out something like this….”) but also have given us permission to experiment and play around with different and new ideas.

If you have any other ideas that we’ve not put below please feel free to get in touch and ask the question – if it’s not something that we’re able to cater for then there’s a good chance we’ll know someone who can!

Each of the below options, with the exception of the first one (albums, parent albums and books – because they vary in size and price) and two of our photobooths are available for £545 on their own, or half price at £272.50 if you’re booking them with a full day wedding package (digital or with album/book).  You’re more than welcome to ask about multiple options as we may be in a position to offer a discount.

Albums, parent albums and books

There are plenty of options for wedding photography albums and books, from the traditional to the contemporary.

Parent albums and books are available too, however they’re waning in popularity with the ease of sharing wedding photos digitally.  Through the years we’ve narrowed our choices down to three main styles: a more informal coffee table style book with press printed pages and a material cover; the more traditional mounted album where the photos are printed and mounted onto board, and then framed with a mount or matte; finally a blend of both styles – the flushmount album which incorporates the thicker pages of the traditional album with the informality and contemporary look of the press printed book.

All three options have been carefully selected over the years to offer a diverse range of options, whilst keeping the quality at the forefront of everything we offer.  Parent albums are available in very much the same and they’re essentially mini versions of the main album.  We exclusively use an album company based in Scotland for their gorgeous, high-quality and understated albums and books – many photographers offer albums from somewhere more flashy like Italy or Brazil, but we like to keep things more local and have always been impressed with our suppliers reliability, quality and speed of production.

The prices below reflect the average size and page count in that range, larger and smaller sizes available, likewise fewer and more in terms of page count is also an option.  We tend to average two photos per page (some have just one, others have 3/4/5/6 but it evens out around 2 per page).

Coffee Table Book

From £250 (A3, 30 page, 120 photos)

Traditional Mounted Album

Contemporary Flushmount Book

Parent Album

From £200 depending on main album choice and size

Engagement photoshoot with signing book

Another popular offering is our engagement shoot with a signing book.  Over the years we’ve come to work this slightly differently whilst ultimately offering the same finished product.

The engagement session to start with is something we like to arrange a couple of months before the wedding and involves around an hour’s gentle stroll through a country park, the venue (if they’re ok with that) or a location of special significance to you both (travel restrictions may apply though!!).  From this you’ll get roughly 100-200 lovely photos in both colour and black & white for you to choose some favourites.

On the wedding day itself we’ll bring along an art pad and some sharpies, and actively encourage you guests to come and leave a message.  This way the guestbook DEFINITELY gets used rather than just sitting on a table looking forlorn!

Once that’s all done we’ll edit the messages back at Angelic HQ and interweave those messages with your selected photos to produce a beautiful hard-bound book filled with photos, messages, joy and love.  We’ve found this to be a much more reliable way of working as you’re guaranteed no empty pages, and no accidental red wine spills courtesy of a drunken guest.

Photobooths from Vintage Booth

In 2012 one of our brides phoned us and said “I really want a photobooth, but I hate the way they look”, so after a bit of thinking we came up with a photobooth that matched the venue perfectly – our Vintage Booth.  Since then we’ve gone on to create Ellie the Caravan Booth, The Parlour Wall Booth, Betty the Bell Tent Booth, Hamilton the Cinema Booth and a host of custom-made unique themed photobooths for weddings and corporate events across the UK.

The process is exactly the same as you’d see in any other photobooth, your guests choose some props, pull some faces and get a printout for their trouble….only ours are housed completely differently!

Our booths are a great deal of fun in the evening and you’ll even get the photos on a password-protected gallery in the same way as you’ll receive your wedding photos.  We’ve also got our cinema sign that complements Hamilton the Cinema Booth perfectly, that’s available for £295 on its own, or £245 if booked with a photography package.

The Box or The Frame

More interactive fun for your guests – our brand new The Box or The Frame options (names TBC!)

You may have seen something like The Box doing the rounds on social media, however we’ve taken it one (two, maybe three) steps further and we’re now really chuffed to be offering these for weddings.  Our box and frame are both sturdily mounted (no wobbly tabletops here) and professionally surrounded with a black fabric that really makes them stand out.  We’ve grouped them together here as the process is the same for both.

Your guests use our box or frame as their canvas, posing themselves however they’d like, we then take a photo and let them leave a message.  Once they’ve finished their message we’ll scan it in and superimpose it with their photo to create something truly unique.  The photo/message can then be printed out so that either they have something to take home, or for you to keep (we can offer both for a £45 fee to cover the extra media).  Afterwards you’ll also get the digital copies and the option to upgrade to a printed book of the photos and messages – it’s a lovely way for you and your guests to remember the day.

As with all of our extras and upgrades, if you have any questions at all about how any of it works then please do get in touch.

Video guestbook

Video isn’t something we offer throughout the day, however for the evening reception we are able to offer our fabulous vide guestbook.  Really simple, just how it sounds, we’ll encourage your guests to come to somewhere a little more out of the way so that they can share their favourite memories of you.  They can even answer some questions such as ‘what should the couple do for their first anniversary’, ‘which country should the couple visit and why’, ‘who is the best cook’ and so on for a real insight into their minds!  It’s a ton of fun and the responses we’ve had have been overwhelmingly positive.

The video is then professionally edited with background music and titles, and then shared to you both online and on your USB.  To see a couple of samples, check out David & Daniel’s Wedding Video Guestbook and Charly & Dan’s Wedding Video Guestbook.

As a bonus round we can also create a ‘Mr & Mrs’ type of video where we ask your guests a series of questions about who’s the best at certain things – guests really enjoy this one and it’s lots of fun to watch back!
